| The Rockewell Group, once a leader in the aerospace industry,
sold its business and shifted itself into the electronic industry. It has boosted
up its automation business through acquisition of major companies in the industry.
Their Central Information Group Headquarters, recently completed in Ohio, houses
the research division, and the 80% of the employees are engineers. |

The campus stands on an old golf course, reminiscent of
its natural landscape. Rockwell Automations customer focused policy is reflected
in every area, and the headquarters is designed for reception of customers. There
is a customer conference room adjacent to the entrance, next to a demonstration
room showcasing the companys products.
The offices cubicles are laid out in a universal plan and are closer to
the windows, while private offices are in the center of the floor. The functions
of laboratories are universalized. The meeting spaces close to the cubicles and
numerous conference rooms were created in response to the employees request
for group collaboration spaces. |
