Business centers are an American invention. The Omni Office Group, with its headquarter in Atlanta, is one of the oldest firms in this field with 34 years of experience. They currently have 25 business centers throughout the United States. Although they have gained recognition for their “executive suite services,” they have recently developed the “Optima System” in response to new working needs.
The “Omni” and “Optima” systems are available at all business centers. The Omni System provides rental office spaces with executive office interiors combined with secretarial services. Contracts are on a 6-month or1-year basis. In addition to the use of office spaces and conference rooms, complete secretarial services, including printing, copying, scheduling, business trip arrangements, and welcoming visitors, are available. The workers can use their time more effectively, by having others take care of time-consuming secretarial work.

Due to the high demand for short-term office rental space in the 1990s, the Optima System was developed. Furnished offices are leased on an hourly basis. Options are available for secretarial services as well. At the New York business center, there are 15 Optima Offices, of which four are hotelling offices used by 120 members. Memberse will be able to use the Omni Office Group’s telephone number and address for their own business, as well as their voicemail and mail services. In other words, Omni Office Group becomes the member’s virtual office.
