IBM ITALY EDUCATION CENTER
Milano, Italy |
| In the residential district in the suburbs of Milan, stands
the first IBMs plant in Italy. A factory on the lot was renovated as the
new home for their education center. At the education center, numerous classes
are open to not only the IBM employees but every user of an IBM computer. |
| The maximum capacity is 500, and with most of the partitions
movable, the space can be easily divided into 25 small classrooms and 2 large
lecture rooms, including the exclusive rooms for IBM employees and the study rooms.
The main street in the center is designed to recreate the streetscape of Milan.
For the computer manufacturer, the spread of their product literacy directly affects
the share increase of the product. The education center thus plays an important
role in the sales strategy. |
